Chrissie Iles é a curadora Anne e Joel Ehrenkranz no Whitney Museum of American Art, em Nova Iorque. As suas exposições incluem a co-curadoria das Bienais Whitney de 2004 e 2006, e a curadoria de grandes exposições retrospectivas de Marina Abramovic, Dan Graham, Louise Bourgeois, Sol LeWitt, Donald Judd e Yoko Ono, assim como exposições de Paul McCarthy, James Lee Byars, Jack Goldstein e várias exposições coletivas, incluindo Signs of the Times: Film, Video and Slide Installation e Britain in the 1980s, Scream and Scream Again: Film in Art e Into the Light: The Projected Image in American Art 1964-1977, considerada a melhor exposição coletiva em Nova Iorque em 2001 pela International Association of Art Critics. Em 2010, co-curou Off the Wall: Thirty Performative Actions no Whitney Museum e no Museu de Serralves, no Porto, e recentemente curou uma exposição de Sharon Hayes (2012)
