The film ‘Waltz on the Moon’, directed by Francisco de Assis Parcerias, was honoured at Cinalfama - Lisbon International Film Festival 2025. The short film, produced as part of School of Arts' Film Degree, won the Best Film award in the ‘Micro&NoBudget’ category and received an Honourable Mention in the Best Portuguese Film category.
‘Waltz on the Moon’ will be screened outdoors at Escadinhas de São Miguel on 25 July at 9.30pm, with director Francisco de Assis Parcerias in attendance.
The festival runs from 21 to 25 July 2025 with screenings at the Fado Museum during the day and at the Escadinhas de São Miguel in the evening, with free admission.

Now, as a young adult, he finds in the comfort of his memories the ghosts that steal his sleep. He finds himself haunted by the mourning of his father’s death and spends a night of longing and loneliness.
