The National Opening Ceremony for the 2025-2026 Academic Year and the Diploma Award Ceremony will take place on October 13, at 4:00 p.m., at the Porto Campus.

The ceremony will feature a speech by the Rector, Isabel Capeloa Gil, and the participation of Raquel Seabra, a student at Universidade Católica Portuguesa who will address the recent graduates and students of the University.

This will be followed by the blessing of the diplomas by His Excellency, the Bishop of Porto, D. Manuel Linda, addressed to the representatives of Católica courses who completed their training in the 2024-2025 academic year.

The UCP/Caixa Geral de Depósitos Awards, the Pedagogical Innovation Awards, the UCP4 SUCCESS Scholarship, as well as commemorative medals for 25 and 40 years of career to teachers will also be presented.

The closing of the session will also be presided over by His Excellency, the Bishop of Porto, D. Manuel Linda.
