The new series of Masterclasses, Residencies, Workshops, Lectures, and Visits in the area of Heritage • Conservation • Restoration, organized by the School of Arts, brings academics, specialists, and artists to Porto for short stays.
The program includes conferences, practical workshops, debate sessions with researchers and students, and field visits in partnership with cultural and scientific institutions.
On March 18, Paulo Lourenço presents Heritage at Risk, Heritage in Transition: ICOMOS, Structural Safety, and Climate Adaptation, a masterclass integrated into EPoCH.

Department of Civil Engineering, University of Minho Coordinator of the Group of Historical and Masonry Structures Head of the Structural Group - DEC and Co-Head of the Institute in Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering. Experienced in the fields of NDT, advanced experimental and numerical techniques, innovative strengthening techniques and earthquake engineering. He is a specialist in structural restoration and has worked on more than fifty monuments, including World Heritage sites. Coordinator of an International Masters Course in Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions. Editor of the International Journal of Architectural Heritage: Conservation, Analysis and Restoration. |
